In this paper, according to the relevant requirements of the new urbanization, the systematic analysis of the characteristics of the development of urban and rural infrastructure construction is conducted, and effort is made to sort out the problems and bottlenecks of infrastructure construction in the urban and rural areas. From the unique perspective of promoting the reform of urban and rural infrastructure assessment mechanism, a set of infrastructure index system characterized by guidance in areas, strong practicability and certain innovation is put forward with a view to explore a more sustainable infrastructure construction path, so as to provide support for the further implementation of the new urbanization national strategy in the province.
